Scotland yard's Drive to cut London's road toll : Special safer squads will patrol London's "black spots" every day at pack traffic hours for the next few months. They will take to their black spot portable police signs bearing such exhortations as "Drive Carefully". "Reduce accidents and "Courtesy everybody, please". This id note a punitive campaign against motorists or the general public but a serious attempt to reduce the rising toll of accidents. photo shows Some of the portable police sign are loaded on to a police van for distribution to the "Black spots" today.
