24-10-62 U.S. Embassy battle: 124 arrested - A total of 124 ban-the-bomb demonstrators were arrested last night after 2,000 people had battled with police outside the American Embassy in Grosvenor Square, London. Guards were issued with extra ammunition after a crowd shouting "Hands off Cuba' besieged the building. They charged the Embassy, but 600 police broke up the demonstration.
