The start of the single-handed transatlantic yacht race from Plymouth.: 35 yachts set out from Plymouth yesterday on the 3,000 mile single handed race across the Atlantic to Newport, Rhose Island. The race started in almost flat calm and pouring rain. Photo shows a general view of some of the yachts as they sail out from Plymouth soon after the start of the race.
