Russians hire British trawlers to fish for sprats: The British trawler Masai Warrior, from Faversham, closing on the Russian factory ship Rudnyy, two miles of Margate yesterday to unload her catch of sprats. The Russians have hirod 12 trawlers from Favershem, Whitetable and Ramagate to catch the biggest shoals of sprates seen in the Themes Estuary and the Channel for 15 years.
