Agricultural experts engaged in pest control work at the Agricultural Research Station, Rothampsted, Hertfordshire, England, pull bugs out of the air for scientific study by sending into the upper atmosphere a balloon trailing an insect trap. The experiments are conducted to find out how weather conditions cause insects to be deposited on crops and affect the rise and fall in their numbers. Photo Shows Rothampsted men who seem to be attempting the impossible - pouring something from a balloon - are actually readying the insect trap for another flight suspended from the balloon.
