70ft model submarine ''Commissioned'' by rear-admiral at Royal Marine reserve depot, White City: A one quarter life size model of a Fleet nuclear powered submarine was ''Commissioned'' at the Royal Marine reserve depot, White City today, by Rear - Admiral C.G. Place V.C. DSC, Admiral Commanding Reserves and Director-General of Naval Recruiting. The model will be taken by road to start a three months tour at shows throughout Britain this summer. Visit will be able to see over the interior and hear tape recordings of actual orders given whena submarine dives attacks with torpedoes and returns to the surface. Thousands of visitors are expected to see over the model Submarine which was built at Devonport dockyard and is expected to be in use for several years. Photo shows Rear-Admiral Place V.C.
