Children Saved After Gun Fight: Sixteen hostages - including a teacher and nine children were rescued after a running gun battle between police and Faraday Kidnapped Edwin John Eastwood. Eastwood was shot in the legs as he shot it out with Police on a lonely road bear Sale, Victoria, Australia. His arrest came as police were preparing to pay the 40,000 dollar ransom. This is the second time Eastwood has kidnapped school children- the last time was in October 1972 when six children from the Faraday school were taken for a million dollar ransom. Photo Shows Safe and smiling the kidnapped children of Wooreen Primary School which is 120 km South East of Melbourne, Australia.
