German American Festival Of Rifle-Men In Garmisch: The First German American festival of rifle-wife firearms was held in Garmisch on September 12th and 13th, 1953. For this purpose the American army placed at the disposal of the rifle-man 20,000 cartridges.All types of rifle were there, also these who had been hidden since the end of the war. They ere shooting at a distance of 130 meters, freehand-shooting on targets, miniature-rifle shooting and pistols, but also clay-pigeon shooting. Representatives of Well-known Bavarian rifle-men clubs, American officers and G.I.'s had their noble contest during they also drank white a lot of beer and coco-cola. When the targets where no more to be seen in the darkens then the shooting was stopped. Besides there was also a contest of German and American Anglers at the same occasion.There they were showing how far they could throw the angle and also throwing the angle into a fixed target etc. Ladies to the front!
