1958 Press Photo Dracone Flexible Barge Demonstration Southampton Cargo Vessel

Demonstration of the flexible barge â Demonstration were held today at Southampton of the revolutionary flexible barge, made of nylon and synthetic rubber, containing a cargo of kerosene. The flexible barge, called âœDraconeâ, can be towed by any vessel of reasonable power, and has been developed for the transport of liquids lighter than water.
