Edna Goes On Point Duty. Teenager Edna Avivi went on point dut in a city street on Monday (March 28). Watched over by Constable William Murphy, Edna, and Israeli policewoman took charge of a busy junction in Manchester's Piccadilly. Edna is visiting Manchester with an Israeli Government sponsored exhibition, designed to promote the sale of their products. After her stint on point duty she said: "It was very interesting, and people were have been a shortest, a policewoman in Tel Aviv for the past seven months.
