Andreas papandreou, radical anti-nationalist leader of the panhellenci socialist party, who won, 13.5 percent of the vote and 15 seats in parliament and came in third in the last elections. It is the only important party to object to Greece's planned membership of the EEC, and also wants complete withdrawal from NATO and closing down of American bases. Observers say the party is gaining ground over the center party, and my indeed come second in the forthcoming elections with a narrow margin from Mavros.
