Rehearsal For the Coronation Procession: A rehearsal for the Coronation procession was held this morning. About 300 troops were used to represent the units taking part. They left Buckingham Palace at 5.a.m., arriving at Westminster Abbey a little more than half-an hour later. The troops were battle dress and no bands were used. The State coschand a few troops- to represent the immediate entourage - covered the rest of the route. The object of the rehearsal was to practice the marshalling of the procession.
