Rehearsal For the Coronation Procession: A rehearsal for the Coronation procession was held this morning. About 300 troops were used to represent the units taking part. They left Buckingham Palace at 5.a.m., arriving at Westminster Abbey a little more than half-an hour later. The troops were battle dress and no bands were used. The State coschand a few troops- to represent the immediate entourage - covered the rest of the route. The object of the rehearsal was to practice the marshalling of the procession. Photo shows High ranking naval officers seen during the procession rehearsal this morning.
