Feeding "Flipper" Has Become A "Flippin'" Problem... But Jean Finds the Answer...
Celebrated dolphin "Flipper" and her daughter 'Cockey' - came to England by air in the Summer of 1963 - from Florida... Everything was fine and dandy in the dolphin pond at the Flamingo Park Zoo, Malton, Yorks... until daughter Cookey died... Then Flipper went off her feed... Everything was tried to coax her back to her normal carefree self - without success - until eighteen year old Jean Wiley discovered that the cause of the trouble was that Flipper was lonely... Jean then decided to take a dip a day to swim around with the Dolphin... Now Flipper is happy once again - and Jean takes her lunch at the edge of the pool - feeding the dolphin with tit bits from a side plate...
