1959 Press Photo amphibious demonstration at Eastney, Runaground X

"Rungaround X" - services demonstration storming the beach. More than 1,000 men are taking part in the "Runaground X" amphibious demonstration at Eastney, Portsmouth today. The demonstration is designed to shows Staff college students some of the problems of amphibious operations. Photo shows Seaborne troops storm the beach after leaving their troop carriers during the orations.
