Struggle Continues To Save 590 Monkeys. R.S.P.C.A. workers were still busily at work at London Airport trying to save the 590 monkeys - survivors of 800.. They are suffering from dysentery and enteritis - and may had died aboard the aircraft travelling from Ethiopia.. They are on their way to Canada to be used in polio research.
