Eagles from Manila Enjoy Fishing on Earl's Estate.
A course in huntinh from the wrist has become more of a fishing holiday for Bossy and Bluey - two young eagle sent from the Philliplppines, for training at Weston Park, Shifnal, Salep, home of the Earl af Bradford. The birds were believed to be rare monkey eating eagles, but have now been identified by the Earl's falconer, Mr. Allan Oswald, 34, as grey headed fishing eagles, which hunt fish and small mammals in a lazy way. They are now being trained to fish - something their parents would have taught them - at Weston Park until their owner, Mrs. J. Laloe, a game warden in Manila, arrives in September to collect them. She had hope they could be trained to hunt rabbits.
