An inseparable couple are Hansi, the swan, and Eleen Muller, its lovingly caretaker. About a year ago, the bird was standing in front of the door of Mrs. Mullers restaurant with paralyzed wings and an injured foot, Every morning the hostess, Eleen Muller takes the swan under her arms to the Rhine-bank (photo) where it swims a few rounds and goes "home" again after that. Exactly at 9 p.m. Hansi wants to be put to sleep in an old dog house. If its hostess forgets about that once, the swan becomes very cross and even sometimes throws the bottles off the table with its bill. The photo was taken in Ludwigshafan/Rhine.
