Zoological sensationa: Giant serpent hatching eggs: For the first time since 20 years a giant serpent laid eggs in a German zoo. This extraordinary fact occurred at Munich zoo Ilellabrunn in the night from Thursday to Friday (10.3./11.3). The dark spotted rock-snake, 31/2 meter lond, laid 30 eggs which it is going to sit upon for 3 months (picture). Then the managers of the zoo hope there will be 50-75 cm long baby spotted rock-snakes coming out of the eggs. The snakes had "married" during Carneval.

Photo measures 8 x 6 inches.

Photo is dated --none.
