Captain Cook in the South Seas Exhibition: Captain James Cook was killed in K~~l~k~k~~ Bay, Hawaii, on February 14th. 1779. In commemoration of the bi-centenary of his death, a joint British Museum and British Idbrary exhibition opens at the Museum of Mankind, Burlington Gardens, W.L. today until November 18th. Photo shows seen at the exhibition A Maori Chief seated outside his hut dressed in a cloak finer woven from flax.
