How To Make Your Burmese Cosmetics. Mrs Millicent Spencer, a Burmese woman, is making her powders for the skin. She is rubbing two young sandalwood blocks on an abrasive. With water poured over them, a paste is formed which collects in the trough around the abrasive. This paste can be applied at once or stored. The large piece of massaging sandalwood in the foreground will be ground up to make Nat-Hta-Pyu.
