TOMB OF HUNGARIAN NATION'S FIRST RULER BELIEVED FOUND IN WESTERN HUNGRY. Archeologists excavating in Szekesfehervar, Western Hungary, believe they have discovered the location of the tomb of Grand Duke Geza, the first ruler of the Hungarian nation. If their conjecture proves correct then their find is indeed a valuable one. Geza died in 997, in the period when the Hungarian state was founded. A team of excavators of the King Stephen Museum directed by Alan Kralovanszky came upon the remains of a quatrefoil church in the yard of the Cathedral, where they expect to find the tomb.
