1962 Press Photo German Minister of Post Offices Mr Stucklen

About 1.3 million Deutsche Mark; was invested in the first German big pneumatic post office which was enaugurated today in Hamburg. The "historical pressure" sending the first official box to the 1.8 km long distance, was affected by the German Minister of Posts, Mr. Stucklen. The experimental installation which is also the biggest in Europe, will follow others in all towns of the Federal Republic of Germany, with more than 100.000 inhabitants Photo Shows Assisted by an expert the German Minister of Post, Mr. Stucklen started the first official box at the 1.8 km long distance of the new pneumatic post in Hamburg.
