Press Photo Canterllo Town in Italy Has Asparagus Festival-Parade

"Asparagus" Day opened with a procession of musicians through the streets of the town, playing national songs on instruments which are only found in the Varese district. Italy Hold An Asparagus Festival: The pretty town Canterllo in the Province of Varese, Northern Italy, is famous for its asparagus. It is the district's Chief industry and to celebrate the asparagus season a great luncheon was held together with a competition for the best crop in the district. Beautiful girls in national costumes attended and there was singing and dancing to the music of instruments which are only found in the Varese area.
