A small group of people, numbering 4 or 5 spend 20 days at a time transmitting data to the university and caring for and maintaining the highly sophisticated and delicate equipment used by the university in its study of the composition of the sun. In summer there are always a few visitors bur in winter surrounded by ice and snow the only way to get there is to ski.
