"Aquapolis" The Floating City for Expo '75 in Okinawa. The unique "floating city" called "Aquapolis" built at Hiroshima for the International Ocean Exposition at Okinawa which opens on July 20, 1975, is ready to be towed to the island's Motobu Peninsula where it will serve as a pavillion for the six month long exposition. Work on "Aquapolis" commenced in October 1973, and weighs 15,680 tons.
