Young Lion Tamer: This little American girl is not afraid of lions, at least the stone lion which guards the entrance to the Tengenji Temple in Tokyo. The stone lions called ''Karashishi'' decorate the gardens and courtyards of Buddhist temples in Japan, and are said to be guardians of the gates.
