Election of a New Pope of Alexandria: Some 700 representatives of Egyptian Orthodox Copts took part recently in voting to elect a new Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Marc diocese to succeed Pope Kyrollos the Sixth who died last March. The voters represent Egyptian Copts according to occupation and distribution over the governorates and include 40 representatives of the Ethiopian Church. Photo shows: An Orthodox Copt priest casting his vote.
