Pretty dirty round his nose...
....is the snuff-taker in our picture. He has the intent to use the whole snuff he has "on hand"., maybe under perspiring, blowing and sneezing. This snuffer is one of the 12 partakers in a snuffing competition (aiming at snuffing 25 gs, of snuff at once) during a festive event by a Bavarian folklore club in Planegg near Munich. One can imagine that they had the laugh on their side.
