Blessings the throat ceremony at St. Etheldreda church - Holborn.: The ancient Blessing the Throat ceremony in memory of St. Blaise was performed this morning at St. Etheldreda's Church, Holborn. (In 316 A.D. St. Blaise, Bishop of Sabaste, Armenia when on way to his execution met a child with a fishbone stuck in his throat. He touched the child's throat and healed it.).
