Christian - Marxist Dialogue New York - A Christian - Marxist Dialogue was held at the John LaFarge Institute in New York to open a series of discussions by Dr. Roger Garaudy, noted French Marxist philosopher, with American intellectuals at various colleges. Shown from left: Prof. Leslie Dewart of St. Michael's College in Toronto; Dr. Garaudy; and Werner Linz of Herder & Herder, publishers of Dr. Garaudy's new book, From Anathema to Dialogue. Behind them is a picture of the late Father John LaFarge, pioneer in race relations and ecumenical work, after whom the Institute is named.
