Britain Protests Over Shot Down Aircraft.. Picture By Aircraft.. A protest in the strongest terms was being made to the Russians over the shooting down by MIG Jet-fighters of an R.A.F. Lincoln Bomber over Germany. Sir Ivone Kirkpatrick, the British High Commissioner in Germany, has been instructed to make the protest to General Chukiov, the Russian High Commissioner.. Sir Ivone is demanding compensation and punishment for those responsible for the outrage.. Keystone Photo Shows: The scene as documents from the wrecked aircraft are examined - after the bomber had been shot down over Germany.
