STATUE PLACED ON THE SEA BED "JESUS OF THE DEEPS" Sixty divers knelt and prayed 40 feet under the sea bed on SAN FRUTTUOSO BAY near Portofino on the Italian Riviera when an 8 ft. high bronze statue - known as "Jesus of the Deeps" was lowered into the sea on to a 175 ton concrete base.. It is by the Italian sculptor GUIDO GALLETTI and it is to serve as the Guarding for all who have to do with the sea and as a monument for those who die at sea.
