Rehearsing new Negro Musical Comedy.: A rehearsal was held this evening of the new Negro Musical Comedy "Simply Heaven" - which opens tomorrow at the Adelphi Theater. Included in the cast is Bertice Reading - colored actress and singer for whom an order of committal to prison was issued in the Chancery Division today for non-payment of installments due under a judgement. Photo shows Laureice Harvem talks to Bertice Reading - during a break in rehearsal this evening.
