A young passenger disembarking from a liner coming to New York from Europe has her handbag searched by a Customs officer. The young lady is entirely innocent but she just happened to be selected for a spot search which is carried out at random. The officer seen searching the handbag recently stopped a man coming from a ship because he seemed to walk in an "un-natural" way. The search revealed that the man had packets of heroin taped to his legs and thighs.
