Widow Strangled In Wood.. Mrs. Muriel Maitland.
The strangled body of 34 year old widow Mrs. Muriel Maitland was found in a shallow grave beneath an Elm tree in Cranford Park, Middlx. about a mile from her home. Police had searched all day for the woman - who disappeared from her home.
