Mother take their babies to dressmaking classes.: When the young mothers of Dover told m~. G. H. Tweddell, head of Dover Technical College that they not attend the afternoon dressmaking classes bacause they could get nobody to look after their children with yo. This bold experiment has proved he proved entirely satisfactory and now there are no shortage of recruits at the classes. Dover is the first college in the country to adopt the novel idea and now other may follow suit. At the moment the pupils include 16 months with children whose ages range from two months to four years. The classes are not as quit as they used to be but the noise doesn't worry the mothers, in fact they like it bacause it makes for a homelier atmosphere. Mr. Tweddell says if there are many more recruits be will arrange additional classes for them on other afternoons next term.
