Metropolitan Police new mobile police station: A mobile Police Station has been developed by the Metropolitan Police for use as a control centre for operations at the scene of major accidents or other emergency occasions, and will be put into service within the next few weeks. The mobile Station, which will be garaged at Lambeth, consists of a towing unit which is a converted juvenile bus, and a caravan, 22ft. long and 7ft.6ins. Wide. The Station is light enough to be manhandled over reasonably firm ground independent of the towing unit. Photo Shows P.C. Bob Howlett at the R/T Set which is in direct communication with the information Room at Scotland ?Yard.
