Hocktide Ceremony at Hungerford. The ancient Traditional festival at hocktide, was held today at Hungerford, Berks. In accordance with custom, The Tuttimen went through the town with their flower decorated staves, to collect their "Dues" a kiss or a penny from the women of the town. Keystone Photo Shows: Mr. R.A. Bartholomew, a tuttiman, carrying his stave, being assisted by Mr. G.T. Scarlett up a tree to get his "due" - a kiss or a penny, from Miss Gillian Fraser, at Hungerford today.
