12-2-54 Police Investigate double murder at Ealing. The murdered woman after her 1930 wedding - C.I.D. personnel are investigating the double murder at the "Home for Elderly Genrlefolk' in Montpelier Road, Ealing of a lady who is generally known as "Lady Menzies' and her daughter Mrs. Isobel Veronica Chesney. Their bodies were found in different parts of the house. Lady Menzies was found in front of a fire in the downstairs sitting room and Mrs. Chesney was found half clad in the bathroom of the top floor. Mrs. Menzies has used the title "Lady Menzies' since she was married in 1930 to Thomas Chalmers Menzies who styled himself as "the tenth baronet' but it was announced soon after the wedding that he was not entered in the official Roll of the Baronetage.
