"Top People" Get Recognition in an Unusual Place.
As part of the extensive renovation of Downing Street, new rainwater pipe have been fitted to the walls. On the collecting bowls at the top of these pipes are embossed the initial of the Ministers and staffs of which the houses will be official residences. The principal "top people" who received this recognition are Mr. MacMillan (H.M.), Lady Dorothy MacMillan (D.E.M.), Selwyn Lloyd (S.L.) and the Government Chief Whip Martin Redmayne (M.R.)
