Queen and Vice-President in American Memorial chapel: London.. Seen in the American Memorial Chapel in St. Paul's Cathedral during the dedication ceremony today are H.M. the Queen and Mr. Richard Nixon, Vice-President of the United States, On Mr. Nixon's right is Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, while behind him (partly hidden) is Prince Philip. The American Memorial Chapel, which commemorates American servicemen who died in World War II while serving in or operating from the United Kingdom, was dedicated by the Bishop of London (Dr. Montgomery Campbell). The Queen also unveiled a memorial inscription on the Marble Pedestal supporting the gold case containing the roll of honour.
