1960 Press Photo 86 Miners Trapped In Karl Marx Mine in Zwickau/East-Germany

86 miners still closed in For more than two days already, 86 miners are closed in 1100 m depth in the Karl Marx Mine in Zwickau/East-Germany. Life saving teams are working desperately against fire, smoke and gas. So far, they were able to rescue 40 miners partly severely injured, and 38 bodies. OPS: Life saving teams going into the mine.
