Victor Terry Sentenced To Death - For Bank Guard Murder.. Valerie Salter On Probation For 12 Months. Victor Terry (20) was sentenced to death for the murder by shooting of Worthing Bank Guard John Pull.. His companions Alan Hosier (20) of Hounslow was sentenced to Life Imprisonment 0- and 17-year-old, Philip Tucker to be detained "during her Majesty's Pleasure"... His girl friend Valerie Salter (18) of Worthing was found guilty of being an accessory after the fact - and was placed on probation for 12 months.. The Judge - Mr. Justice Stable spoke of the "frightening decision" she had to make - when she learned that the Bank Guard had been murdered..
