Aerial Tramway high over Colorado's famous Royal Gorge, marking its third birthday this month, has carried more than 275,000 passengers and logged 17,000 miles in trips across the spectacular chasm. In the distance beneath the 35-passenger tram cabin is the Royal Gorge Bridge, the world's highest. At lower left is the floor of the narrow canyon and the Arkansas river, 1,200 feet below the bridge. One of the most popular scenic attractions in the Rocky Mountain West, the Royal Gorge is near the Pikes Peak region.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
