November 13th, 1972 East-West German Treaty Signing - The East and West German negotiators, State Secretaries Michael Kohl and Egon Bahr (right), initiated the historic treaty putting their countries long-estranged relations on a normal footing and opening the way for both to enter the United Nations. The ceremony took place in the "Bundeskanzleramt' in Bonn.
