Tommy Steele, former pop idol and now an international star acclaimed as Britain's brightest name of the future for his work in "Half a Sixpence", yesterday returned to Bermondsey, to unveil plaque on a $38,000 block of flats being built for old folk by the South London Mission, just round the corner from his old home in Spa Road. Photo Shows: Tommy Steele and his wife, Ann, surrounded by Bermondsey children as he arrived at the Mission yesterday.
