Margaret _ Thirteen Years Old Starts Her New Life. Thirteen year old Margaret Saunders started a 'new life when she went to the Barclay Secondary Modern School at Stevenage - knowing that for the first time she would be able to work-skip-dance and play - just like the other pupils. Margaret has completely recovered from a hole-in-the heart operation. Her father had the same operation in 1956 - so they are the first known case of a hole-in-the-heart being found in parent and child.
