1984 Press Photo Europe puts lines on pavement to help the blind get around

Now blind people can "see" the streets For the first time in Europe the city of St. Gallen in Switzerland puts lines on pavements and pedestrians crossings, which are several millimeters increased and have a rough surface. These special lines help the blinds to grope there way through the streets and the traffic of the city.
