De Gaulle puppet on sale in London â A cardboard cut-out of President De Gaulle, pictured at Harrodâs store in London today, where they can be bought for 8/-. Other puppets which have been devised by London advertising partners, Barry Elphick and Geoffrey Charlton Perrin, are of Prime Minister Harold Wilson, and President Johnson. You buy the puppet on a large cardboard poster, cut him out, give him joints of paper clips, string him up and then make him dance to your tune.
