1952 Press Photo Elizabeth Parker sells flowers to donate money to needy kids

The 7 Year Old Good Samaritan When Elizabeth Parker, 7, of Granville House, Lansdown road, Bath, Somerset, heard of children being cared for by the N.S.P.C.C. because their parents were cruel or neglectful, she asked her parents if she could grow flowers to help the society's funds. They gave her a little plot in the garden and now, every week end, Elizabeth stands outside her house selling her flowers to passers by. So far she has sent $3 5s to the society.
